Paper Prints (Open Collections) come unframed.

I find frames (and mats) are a very personal choice. They need to fit your existing art work and interior design style, and are heavily influenced by contemporary trends.

I make sure that all art work is printed in standard sizes; frames (and mats) can easily be found. I feel that the prints look gorgeous with a generous white mat (2in / 5cm or more). If you do frame with a mat, make it a confident one.

You do the mat and frame. Or nothing at all. The prints will be happy either way :-)

The Exclusive Creations are framed canvas prints. You have a choice of frame colours, please see individual artwork for details.

Yes. Black and white photography is elegant and timeless. More importantly, it supports the strong artistic statement of the Japanese Shibui aesthetics: Simple, subtle, and unobtrusive beauty.

Available print sizes vary from print to print. Please see individual product pages for more information on available print sizes.

ALL PRINTS are in the width x length ratio of digital photography:

3:2 (landscape format)
2:3 (portrait format)
1:1 (square format).

The available sizes do not include a white border/mat or frame and are the actual size of the print, printed full-width.

I use Hahnemühle Photo Rag paper.

It is a vegan, certified matte paper, made of 100% cotton rag with a natural white tone and excellent black saturation. It has a soft texture with a lightly defined felt structure. With Hahnemühle Photo Rag your print is museum quality wall art.

All paper prints are created using the Giclée fine art printing method by a premium fine art printer.

Giclée fine art printing is the gold standard when it comes to producing museum-level quality prints. Archival inks used on Giclée printers won’t fade when displayed in normal conditions indoors; colours will retain their brilliance for a lifetime.

All canvas prints are printed on finely textured artist-grade canvas which is scratch, crack, and warp resistant as well as water-resistant. Our state of the art printing technology uses UL certified GREENGUARD GOLD inks and ensures pristine photographic reproduction, breathtaking depth, vibrancy, and archival longevity.

The museum-quality canvases are framed by hand and delivered ready to hang in a premium float frame made from sustainably sourced wood.

The paper prints are printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag paper which is vegan, plastic free, and made from sustainably sourced paper. The art work is printed using water-based inks. The archival inks used on Giclée printers won’t fade when displayed in normal conditions indoors; colours will retain their brilliance for a 125+ years.

For the framed canvas prints we use UL certified GREENGUARD GOLD inks and sustainably sourced hardwood for the frames.

In both cases, local fulfilment (whenever possible) reduces carbon emissions. We use recycled cardboard for packaging.

I work with a network of premium printers spanning USA, Australia, EU and the UK.

Production and shipping timelines are out of my control and vary from country to country. Please allow an average of 2-3 working days for printing plus 3-5 working days for shipping - and lets all be happy when your print arrives sooner. See the tracking for more information on delivery times. You will receive tracking information via email as soon as your order has shipped. If you have not received tracking information within 2 weeks, please contact me at petsy@sommardale-art.com

Paper prints sized 200mm or smaller will come in a sturdy envelope; all other sizes will come in a cardboard tube. For paper prints shipping is free (worldwide).

Shipping fees for framed canvas prints will be displayed during payment checkout of your purchase..

If your country is not listed, please contact me and I will gladly calculate the shipping costs and work out a way to get your print to you.

My international network of printing professionals decides where your order will be printed and shipped from. Order fulfilment by the print professional closest to you is our aim, and almost always works like a charm.

However - on rare occasions - your print order might be fulfilled further away, and import taxes or duty fees may apply.

This is something I do not want you to experience.

Should you ever encounter import taxes or duty fees, please email me the receipt at petsy@sommardale-art.com and I will make it up to you.

The ordered print is custom made for you. I do not offer returns and refunds.

However, if you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact me and I will gladly work out a solution.

Return and refund process:

To start a return, please email me at petsy@sommardale-art.com within 3 days of delivery, stating the issue.

If your return is accepted, I will send instructions on how and where to send your package. The damaged or defective item must be returned to me. To be eligible for a refund, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused and in its original packaging, opened in a pet & smoke-free home.

You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. Once a return is received and found eligible, your refund will be issued.

Items sent back to me without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
